Ethiopian Jews in Israel live below the poverty line. Out of all immigrants from other countries, throughout Israel, the Ethiopian Jews are the poorest of poor and the minority of minorities. Their divorce rate is also higher than other Jewish descents. Additionally, the Ethiopian Jewish prison population is the highest out of all other Jewish immigrants from other countries.

Askalech is a single mother living in Northern Israel Akko. She has 4 children, two of them teens and the other two 5 and 8. Her husband divorced her and left them 4 years ago. They don’t know where he lives.

Every year, when the school year starts in September, Askalech worries a lot about how she can supply her childrens’ school material and book bags. Praise the Lord that this year she not only got 4 new book bags but also school supplies, clothing and shoes for all. In addition to that, HIIM helped her with 5000 shekels for additional expenses. Thank you, supporters! Your donations go beyond. Bless you.
