I really appreciate your love and dedication to the restoration of Israel all over the world. You are always there when we need you, especially for the Beta Yisrael community in Israel and Ethiopia. You are doing amazing things to help my community. I would like to say thank you on behalf of my community.
As Job 8:7 said, “Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.” As you know the last 25 years I have been ministering to my people and the Lord has done so many amazing things for the Beta Yisrael community. Being the pioneer of Messianic congregations in the 90s, I had the privilege to be the first and only Ethiopian Messianic Rabbi and Regional African Director for MJAA and IAMCS. In Jerusalem, I serve on the board of advisors for the King of Kings Ministries to help the Ethiopian Messianic Jews.
From the book I wrote on my life story, I shared that I lost my mom at the age of 5 and grew up in a very remote village with little resources. The Almighty Lord saved me many times from wild animals to bring hope and restoration to my people.
Over the last 25 years of our ministries we dug many wells to provide for the poor Jews in villages in Northern Ethiopia. Because of God’s favor, doors have opened wide for us in the Ethiopian government. Recently the Lord granted us a very expensive piece of land in downtown Addis Ababa to build a Beta Yisrael holistic center for all Africans. Ethiopia is the head office of the African union. Leaders of Africa meet there twice a year to make decisions regarding the African continent. I believe Ethiopian Jews have a big role in bringing healing and restoration for all Africans and to destroy the witchcraft in the land. As the Lord used the first Ethiopians to bring the light of the Gospel to Africa, I believe this is our time to continue that journey and bring Abraham’s blessing to Africa (Acts 8:26-40).
As Joseph said to his brother in Genesis 50:20, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” My wife and I passed many persecution in our life but the Lord has always kept us alive. Antisemitism has reached new levels, especially since October 7. We need to bring restoration to our community. I pray that you can support us with this revolutionary project. Please see photos above of what we plan to build.
I am always praying for you and your families.
Rabbi Kokeb & Pastor Menalu, with love from the family.
